Polymer-based push-fit fittings for the One World Solar Collector
Sunlumo has developed a new push-fit connection method for plastic collector panels.
The special advantage of this method is that it permits a modular enlargement of collector panels. FEM analyses were carried out in cooperation with processing experts, and lab models were produced. A pilot tool was constructed for the fitting as part of manufacturing the pilot series of the One World Solar Collector. Although the collector is only a small part of the overall system, Sunlumo is tackling a price reduction in order to guarantee for a budget application. This fitting method is both easy and quick to use, while also saving time and assembly costs.
